Haiti Relief: In the wake of the recent earthquake(s) in Haiti, we want to respond with God’s mercy and love. In addition to our prayers, the relief agency that we have identified is Partners in Development. Partners in Development is a Christian, para-church ministry based in Ipswich MA, that has been serving the poor in Haiti since 1990. They have a medical clinic in Port au Prince and will be able to assist people medically. They are looking for medical professionals and experienced travelers to join their teams. If anyone is interested in going, please contact Lisa Lassey, Director of Program Development at lisa@pidonline.org or call her at 978-471-9922. You can also apply online on the PID website. PID are also seeking donations of gauze, bandages, antibiotics, and pain relief medications. Please call Lisa to schedule a donation drop off at their Ipswich office (not @ West Church J). Partners In Development has also set up an emergency relief fund for the earthquake victims in Haiti. Any monetary donations given to West Church for “Haiti Relief” will be sent to PID.

The Missions Team aims to love God by reaching outward through promoting missions awareness and participation at West Congregational Church. We are committed to mobilizing our people, gifts, talents and resources to bring others closer to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Our desire is to work in partnership with the leadership of existing churches or ministries in the United States and abroad. Our ministry of missions will increase our Christian worldview enabling us to better see the needs at home and abroad.
