Ministries

West Church Ministry is greatly increased through the efforts of our many volunteers who are highly valued. A church gathered around Christ is empowered by His Spirit to minister to each other and to serve the world for the glory of God.

At West, we practice the "priesthood of all believers". Every believer is a minister for Jesus Christ and has a part in building Christian community by exhibiting love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in all their interactions with each other. Volunteers are deeply appreciated as they serve out of a heart that loves God through His Son Jesus. West values godly leadership. Leaders are considered godly when they exhibit the character of Jesus and when they follow the leadership of Jesus rather than their own selfish ambitions. Leaders are selected according to spiritual maturity, spiritual gifts, passion, skills and experience. We value godly leaders as they mobilize flexible teams of volunteers to do the good work of ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit. Membership is not required to participate in the various ministries listed here, however to be a ministry leader membership is a prerequisite.
