Bringing love for God and love of children together!

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6

Welcome to our Children's Ministry page! Get information on children's ministry activities AND find out how you can get involved. Our Children's Ministry is committed to nurturing children and leading them to a Christ-centered life. We love children unconditionally, provide opportunities for them to grow in God's word, and encourage fellowship with their peers.

Note: Sunday School is in session September to June.

    Sunday School:

Join us for over an hour of fun Bible activities, prayer and fellowship. We begin at 9:15 with a large group activity (puppets, music, drama, film clips, etc.). Our graded classes run from 9:30 - 10:30 for 2 year olds - 5th grade during the school year only (curriculum by Lifeway). Two teachers per class provide safety and continuity for children. We use a sign-in system for babies through 4 year olds to provide safety for our preschoolers. This permits only the person dropping off a child to pick him/her up.

NOTE: Sunday School begins on September 13, 2009 at 9:15!

    Children's Discipleship:

This fall we are excited to be offering a new 6 week discipleship class for children who have expressed their faith in Christ. For information about this class, contact Jenn Clark.

    Get Involved:

We have many ways for adults and teens to get involved in ministry to children from weekly volunteering (teaching, assistant teaching), to occasional jobs (substitutes, prayer team, bulletin boards, desk volunteers). If you want to be involved - you can be! (All adults working with children must pass a criminal background check)

    Children's Ministry Team:

Jenn and Chris Clark, Childrens Ministry Leaders; Eileen Cantone, Nursery Coordinator; Karen Vater, Sunday School Asst. Leader

We look forward to seeing your children at West Church!
